Things We Saw Today: Please Stand By Trailer Will Make Your Trekkie Heart Feel All the Feels

I really, really need to see this movie. Please Stand By tells the story of a young woman with autism (played by Dakota Fanning), who’s super-into Star Trek and “runs away from her caregiver in order to boldly go and deliver her 500-page Star Trek script to a writing competition in Hollywood.” This trailer totally appeals to me as a Star Trek fan, as a writer, and as someone with autism in her family. Also, female lead and mostly-female main cast. My seeing this movie is totally logical. It comes to theaters, On Demand, iTunes, and Amazon on January 26th.
