WHEN the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, named Royal Princess on June 13, 2013, she was launching a Princess Cruises dynasty of Royal-class vessels with Royal Princess followed by Regal Princess, Majestic Princess and two more to come in 2019 and 2020. Since that Southampton ceremony Royal Princess has been in dry dock twice for standard refurbishment but the ship has also had one major alteration, a new central staircase to make life easier for its 3,560 passengers.
