Mott The Hoople frontman Ian Hunter is BACK on the road at 80
It has to be one of rock’s most unexpected tours: All The Young Dudes are back on the road. Well, not so young these days, but that has not stopped Mott The Hoople launching a live celebration of their album, The Hoople, which soared up the charts a mere 45 years ago. Band leader Ian Hunter is not far off another significant milestone because on June 3 he will turn 80, putting him ahead of the likes of Mick Jagger, 75, and Paul McCartney, 76. Even Joe Brown, one of our earliest rock ’n’ roll stars, is only 77.
