Michelle Obama’s memoir now has a release date and a title! The English-language version of Becoming will be available from Crown, an imprint of Penguin Random House, on November 13, 2018. Markus Dohle, the CEO of Penguin Random House, said the book will offer “an unusually intimate reckoning from a woman of soul and substance who has steadily defied expectations—and whose story inspires us to do the same.”

According to the website for the memoir, “Michelle Obama invites readers into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her—from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work, to her time spent at the world’s most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it—in her own words and on her own terms.”

The website also includes a sign-up list for information about upcoming book tour dates, as well as a list of the 23 other languages that the book will be available in in translation, including Spanish, German, Portuguese, Korean, Lithuanian, Hebrew, and more.

The former First Lady herself tweeted about the announcement, calling the memoir “a deeply person experience” that she hopes “inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be.”

The Obamas signed a two-memoir deal with Crown last year, worth a combined $ 60 million. Michelle Obama’s memoir will be released first, and Barack Obama’s is expected in spring of 2019. May the gods of pettiness give me the gift I deserve and let both these books outsell The Art of the Deal a hundred times over.
