HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE has been issued a content warning by the University of Chester. Its Department of English said that the nature of the theories applied to the book, alongside Phillip Pullman’s Northern Lights and Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games, can lead to “difficult conversations” about race, gender and sexuality. It comes after JK Rowling came under fire for her comments surrounding transgenderism.
