Pound V euro: GBP exchange rates tumble as UK inflation hits one-year low
THE pound pared some of its recent gains against the euro on Wednesday morning as markets responded to a marked easing in UK consumer price inflation. According to the Office for National Statistics , consumer price inflation in the UK eased to 2.5 per cent year-on-year in March.
