New Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Teaser Features Lots of Dinosaurs and Sensible Shoes

In anticipation of an official trailer coming Thursday, Universal Pictures shared a 15 second teaser for the newest installation in the Jurassic World franchise. It’s titled “Run” and features Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Justice Smith running from lots and lots of dinosaurs as a volcano erupts in the background. It’s definitely a departure from that dino baby clip we got last month.

Directed by J.A. Bayona and written by Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, the film will be the fifth installment in the Jurassic Park series. The synopsis from Collider doesn’t give much away about the premise besides the promise of new dinosaurs and the return of some familiar faces (mostly importantly, BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum who reportedly wrote some of his own dialogue):

“With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful franchises in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return alongside executive producers Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow for Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Pratt and Howard are joined by co-stars James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, while BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum reprise their roles.”

What do you think of the disaster movie vibe we’re getting from the trailer? Is the “Run” teaser a conscious effort to show that Howard will be able to run in sensible shoes this time instead of heels? And is it just me or is there something unintentionally funny about how Chris Pratt is running here?
